Fire in Kviberg

Yesterday, 2017-09-05, a fire broke out in an apartment on Tyghusvägen 8 in Kviberg. The smoke spread out in the corridor and the remediation work has already begun. The fire brigade came directly to the place and could quickly extinguish the fire. Fortunately, no people were injured.

Limitations in APTUs

The name register outside your house is out of sync since we upgraded our system.

This means you might see the old tenants name in the register. After the upgrade you can not book the laundry room with the app Mitt Hem. Please use the booking facilities in your house or through "Mina sidor" at our website.

The functions will be restored as soon as possible. We ask for indulgence.

Conflict between Comhem and Discovery Networks

If they don't agree on a new agreement, there is a risk that Com Hem does not own the right to distribute channels 5, 9, 11 and TLC. Media has previously reported the conflict between Com Home and Discovery Networks. Discovery owns channels 5, 9, 11 and TLC. Com Home, our provider of television services, has confirmed that you are in negotiations. Both parties have expressed hopes to resolve the conflict. The background is that the agreement between the two companies expires on 31 August. If they don't agree on a new agreement, there is a risk that Com Hem will not have the right to distribute these channels from September 1 until a new agreement has been reached.

Take care of yourself – take out a renters insurance!

Airbnb and Blocket

It has come to our attention that several of SGS housing is offered for subletting on websites like Airbnb and Blocket. We would like to point out that this is not allowed without the landlord's permission. As your landlord, we are obliged to know who lives in our homes and it provides an insecurity with strangers in our properties. It also increases the risk of interference and wear with increased costs. If subletting is done without our approval, you run the risk of losing your rental agreement.

Rent level 2017 and 2018

SGS Studentbostäder och Hyresgästföreningen Region Västra Sverige (HGF) have reached agreement on the rent level for 2017 and 2018. HGF is your representative in the negotiations for your unit.

The agreement means that housing rents will be increased by 0,68% from January 1, 2017 and by 0,68% from January 1, 2018 for the apartments that SGS owns. 

There will be corresponding rent increase by 0,68% for the homes that we rent on Dr Lindhs Gata, Ekbacka, Brahegatan, Kustgatan, Sten Sturegatan, Gårda Fabriker, Kastanjebacken, Lisa Sass gata (Selma) and Smörkärnegatan that we rent from other property owners and then sublet.

The fee for Internet, cable TV and parking spaces will remain unchanged 

The rental levels in the other 1,000 residences that we rent from other property owners and then sublease have not yet been established, as the rent for each individual property is established between the owner and the tenant association and these negotiations have not been concluded.
